Based in large part on his own writings, this documentary takes a very fresh look at Patrick, presenting him in his European context as a Romano British man who brought learning and literature to Ireland and in the process caused a seismic change that led to waves of Irish monks traveling to the continent in his wake where they played a crucial role in founding over 100 monasteries.
